Mary Schmidt Amons is first and foremost a devoted mother to her five children (ages 25-37).  Since her late teens, Mary developed her talents as an interior designer, fashion designer, entrepreneur, producer, entertainer, Actor, lifestylist and philanthropist.  

In 2010, Mary had a unique and fun opportunity to be a cast member of the epic One season of Bravo TV's “Real Housewives of DC.”

Mary is passionate about sharing herself, her journey of highs and lows, and the lessons she's learned and continues to learn through her journey.  It is her heart to connect with and inspire people of all ages to give back and support others and forge through challenging times always committed to her integrity and evolution.  Mary has a firm belief that we are all one, equal. The choices we make in this life should be conscious ones to create a life and legacy that will create and shift the world we live in to a better place now and for our children's children.   She believes that loving yourself, embracing and committing to a spiritual faith, surrounding yourself with loving, supportive, positive people, and giving back to others are the keys to a fulfilling & joyful life.

The first-born granddaughter of legendary entertainer and pioneer of radio and television, of the 1950's, Arthur Godfrey. Mary continues his legacy as an actress, television and film producer, and commercial voice-over talent. 

Mary is a second generation washingtonian with deep roots in philathropy. From 1990-2000, Mary served as executive director of the Vincent T. Lombardi Foundation. An organization founded by her father, a pioneer of the cable industry, Robert L. Schmidt. Created in 1970, The Lombardi Foundation was a founding source of funding the inception of the Vincent T. Lombardi Cancer research center at Georgetown University, in washington, DC.

Mary founded Labels for Love in 2006, a non-profit organization that produced fashion and art-inspired events to raise funds and awareness for women's and children's causes.  She is a co-founder of the District Sample Sale, a bi-annual shopping event that was staged in Washington, DC, from 2006-2014 raising funds and awareness for women's and children's organizations in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. 

Mary continues to thrive in her endeavors as a residential and commercial interior designer with her full-service Design firm, Mary amons Design, since 2009.
