Mary Schmidt Amons, a Cast Member of Bravo's Real Housewives of DC, founded Labels for Love, Inc. ("LFL") in 2006 to produce fashionable events to raise funds and awareness for the foundation's chosen local and national women's and children's causes.

As a mother of five and the oldest of 7 children, Mary has developed a heartfelt passion for making a difference in the lives of women and children in need. 

The granddaughter of legendary entertainer Arthur Godfrey, Mary has been inspired to continue his legacy of performing and is currently pursuing a career in acting and film, as well as voice over and commercial work in New York and Los Angeles. She has studied at the well known Studio Theatre conservatory program, in Washington, DC. She is currently working on a documentary film production based on the career of her grandfather focused on his role as a prominent pioneer of radio and television.

Mary is a co-founder of the District Sample Sale, a bi-annual shopping event which takes place in Washington, DC and raises funds and awareness for women's and children's organizations locally. Since its inception in 2006, this one-of-a-kind highly popular fundraising event has contributed over $200,000 to its chosen causes and will continue to support each cause continually as "Legacy Charities".

As a former handbag and accessories designer, Mary has a strong working knowledge of the fashion industry, as well as experience in event planning and public relations. Additionally, as a second generation Washingtonian, Mary has developed a strong network of friends and associates in the fashion, art, philanthropic, business and political arenas in our Nation's Capital Region.

Mary has served as the Executive Director of the Vincent T. Lombardi Foundation, Inc., established to benefit the Vincent T. Lombardi Cancer Research Center at Georgetown University. The foundation was established by her father, Robert L. Schmidt, and has raised over $5 million for cancer research since its founding in 1971. Mary witnessed her father's very visible impact on the community with his volunteer efforts, which has also served as inspiration to make a charitable impact on those in need as well.

Mary is pursuing to further her career in the entertainment industry, with hosting, voice over, and acting opportunities in film, radio and television.​
